In honor of Valentine’s Day, we take a moment to appreciate the spiritual importance of interpersonal connection. Psychedelics prompt us to explore themes of universal love and experiences beyond the self, and sharing intentional moments with others can provide opportunities to practice such virtues.
To celebrate such connection, BPS invites you to join an experiential workshop on psychedelic intimacy. We will first consider how psychedelics can help us foster connection – to our innermost selves, to our loved ones, and to everyone who crosses our path. Following this discussion, we will practice a series of platonic intimacy exercises, involving verbal and nonverbal communication, to explore the depths of connection between you and a partner.
This workshop will be led by Valentin Somma, Ph.D., an intimacy coach and guide helping others connect more deeply with their inner parts and their partners. His own mental health journey led him to mindfulness, neo-tantra, IFS, and psychedelics—including in therapeutic settings. Today, he works with his clients one-on-one, writes, and facilitates workshops on consent, communication, self-compassion, movement, and more.
This workshop will be help on Sunday, February 13 from 1-3 pm. Tickets are available at the link above for $40. The workshop will be held in Gowanus, Brooklyn, and location details will be sent out with purchase confirmation. To keep the event intimate, capacity is limited to 30 people. PLEASE NOTE: Proof of vaccination will be required for entry.
Join us with a partner or on your own. Please wear comfortable clothes, and bring an open heart and an open mind.
*To create a more intimate setting, we will encourage sitting on the floor, so bringing your own yoga mat or meditation chair/cushion is ideal. Chairs are available for those who can not sit on the floor comfortably.
