BPS was founded on June 13th, 2015 in Prospect Park. It came about due to the need for spaces to talk about transformational experiences that people had on psychedelics, but that they couldn’t talk about elsewhere.

The Brooklyn Psychedelic Society’s mission is to maximize the safety, accessibility, and transformational potential of psychedelic journeying in community.

BPS is composed of over 7,000 diverse individuals who come together each month to connect over the power of psychedelics.

Our Structure

Brooklyn Psychedelic Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making community-based healing and transformation an institution in our culture by creating an open-source framework for peer-based support.

Interim Executive Director

Missi Wooldridge, DrPHc, MPH (she/her) brings nearly two decades of leadership at the intersection of community-based public health, psychedelics, and harm reduction. She is Co‑Founder of the Center for Psychedelic Public Health, Principle of Healthy Nightlife, Adjunct Professor of Public Health and Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the State University of New York at Potsdam, and a 2026-2028 Empire State Fellow at New York State Department of Health, Office of the Commissioner, where she focuses on substance use policy across the State.

Missi has previously served as an appointed Commissioner on the Denver Drug Strategy Commission, contributor to the Los Angeles County Electronic Music Task Force, and Executive Director of DanceSafe–leading the organization through transformational growth. She is currently a DrPH candidate in Implementation & Evaluation Science at Emory University Rollins School of Public Health and a Co‑Investigator on Emory University’s Post‑Psychedelics Challenges Study.

Director of Community

Logina Mostafa, MPH (she/they) brings a decade of experience as a community organizer, leader, public health program manager and educator who is committed to applying healing-centered harm reduction and transformative justice to psychedelics, cannabis and sexual health. Her work spans community, clinical, educational, and government settings, including the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, NYC Housing Authority, and NYU’s School of Global Public Health.

She is a Fellow with the Center for Psychedelic Public Health, and member of: The NYS Cannabis Education Advisory Panel, The Arab Psychedelic Society, The Psychedelic Sisterhood, and The Psychedelic Alliance for Healing Justice. As the Founder of queering existentialism, and former volunteer with the Psychedelic Access Fund, Logina advances culturally responsive pathways to healing, equity, and liberation.

Marketing & Operations Coordinator

Aidan Cronin (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist passionate about fostering communities that spark curiosity, experimentation, and thoughtful conversation. He brings a creative, collaborative approach to his work, shaped by his background as an award-winning filmmaker and curator.
