About the event
MPH, Nāēqtaw-Pianakiw (comes first woman), is Afro-Indigenous and a descendant of the Menominee and Oneida Nations of Wisconsin.
Sutton is the Co-Founder and President of Urban Indigenous Collective. Sutton is also the Program Manager of Engagement and Benefit Manager for the Indigenous Medicine Conservation Fund.
Through her work as an Indigenous social entrepreneur, and facilitates a relationship between the Psychedelic Space and Indigenous traditional cultures that centers Indigenous sovereignty.
🌵 Shawna X 🌵An American artist of Chinese descent, born in Xiamen and raised in Portland, Oregon, currently based in New York City. Shawna is known for her abstract, bold, and vibrant use of color and motifs in her art.
Drawing on her personal experiences and cultural heritage, Shawna's work explores themes of identity, creativity, and motherhood, often utilizing multimedia and public spaces as mediums for expression.
Currently, Shawna's work focuses on the relationship between the mother and the earth, and the ways in which the body of the mother is connected to the landscape of the universe.
