P3P: Psychedelic 3rd Place

Join us for the third iteration of our new Psychedelic 3rd Place Series! This will be the last event that our regular community member and super volunteer, Shash, hosts before he leaves NYC on the 31st of May (due to visa issues). Shash has hosted many book clubs and two other iterations of this event in the past and has loved to be a part of the BPS community (where he found home) in his short lived time here in NYC.

If you would like to say one last goodbye to Shash before he leaves, please do join us for this community gathering. Lasty, Shash is planning to go to this free music festival for mental health at House of Yes right after the event and is hoping that others might want to come too, to sing, dance and celebrate his departure in communion!

What is the Psychedelic 3rd Place...

A third place is a term coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg that refers to a place where people gather outside of their home and work, such as a café, park, or community center. These places provide a space for social interaction and community building, and are often seen as essential for promoting a sense of belonging and well-being. They can also foster creativity and innovation, as people from different backgrounds and perspectives come together to share ideas and collaborate on projects. Overall, third places are a vital component of a healthy and thriving community.

We at Brooklyn Psychedelic Society are committed to fostering human wellbeing, flourishing and blossoming, by bringing together people interested in using psychedelics as a tool to facilitate this process. Hence we present to you P3P: Psychedelic 3rd Place, a place for members to gather intentionally around different topics that will enable us to foster the holistic wellbeing that we are here to create. The P3P will be centered around 3 Pillars: Curious Conversations, Compassionate Connection & Creative Self-Expression.
